A message from Michael Schwebler, President & CEO of Highpoint Health.

I want to assure the community that the entire staff at Highpoint Health is doing everything it can to mitigate, prepare, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To date, we’ve:

  • created a COVID-19 task force that is actively monitoring and working closely with the Dearborn County Health Department, the State of Indiana Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control
  • implemented our hospital-wide preparedness plan and processes so we can effectively respond to the COVID-19 pandemic
  • placed visitor restrictions and centralized hospital entry/exit points to protect our most vulnerable patients as well as prevent the spread of COVID-19
  • started screening all patients and visitors before entering the hospital
  • postponed/canceled all elective testing and elective surgical procedures (contact your provider for specific information) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19

As your community’s healthcare leader, we also have a dedicated line, 812-537-8210, staffed by our highly-trained medical professionals, to answer any questions you may have about
COVID-19.

Our comprehensive planning and preparation assures we’re prepared to care for all of our patients and their families, not just those suffering from COVID-19.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this rapidly evolving situation.

Stay Strong,

Michael Schwebler
