I-275 Bridge Project Taking Action To Switch Lanes

Changes are coming to the construction zone on Interstate 275 just north of the Lawrenceburg/Greendale exit.

(Greendale, Ind.) - A change is coming to the construction zone on Interstate 275 at the Indiana-Ohio state line.

Dave O’Mara Contractors have been working on rehabilitating the I-275 bridge over Action Lane in Greendale, which is just north of the I-275 Lawrenceburg/Greendale exit.

On Thursday, July 18, the lane closure in both directions of the interstate will switch from the left lane to the right lane. The date of the lane switch could change depending on the weather.

The restriction to one lane each direction, 55MPH speed limit, and 12-foot lane width will remain in place. Since the project began in the spring, the restrictions have led to frequent backups on I-275 during heavier traffic periods.

The $1.7 million bridge project is expected to be complete by the end of October, INDOT says.
