Ivy Tech has outlined their plan for students to return this Fall.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Ivy Tech Community College has announced its plan for Fall semester classes.
Students will be invited back onto campuses throughout Indiana for face-to-face courses beginning Monday, August 24.
Ivy Tech has built out a robust schedule of classes that will allow students maximum flexibility including both eight and 16-week terms. Classes will be offered in-person, online and with hybrid options.
While spring and summer classes are being held virtually and online, Ivy Tech is taking all the necessary steps to ensure a deep cleaning of all buildings takes place prior to the start of classes in August.
Preventative protocols to reduce risk of transmission will also be implemented across campuses.
Guiding Principles for Return to Campus:
- Safety of faculty, staff, and students is paramount.
- We want to manage campus density with a preference to students, faculty and front-line staff who serve students.
- We prefer office areas to allow social distancing between desks/cubicles over installing additional barriers.
- For those who are fully productive working remotely, we should consider/allow it…especially if we can reduce the density of people in our facilities while providing those face-to-face services and educational experiences our students need to succeed.
- We prefer areas where we serve students (EEC, classrooms, labs, etc.) to allow for social distancing over utilizing barriers. Facial coverings (e.g. masks) are also required/recommended per the facial coverings policy (click link to review policy).
Prospective students may begin registering for classes during Ivy Tech's Virtual Express Enrollment Day on Thursday, June 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Virtual Express Enrollment Day is a great opportunity for anyone interested in starting their education to sign up for classes that start July 6 or August 24.
During the event, participants will learn more about assessment, either meet with an advisor or set up an appointment, and register for classes.
Summer courses (virtual and online) that start on July 6 and run for only four weeks include:
- Business 101 – Introduction to Business
- Business 105 – Principles of Management
- Business 201 – Business Law
- Marketing 101 – Principles of Marketing
- Psychology 101 – Introduction to Psychology
- Software Development 120 – Computing Logic
