The accident took place Sunday just after 4:00 a.m.

(Greendale, Ind.) - One person was injured in a single vehicle accident early Sunday morning in Greendale.
Greendale Police responded to the crash near the intersection of U.S. 50 and Interstate 275 around 4:15 a.m.
According to the initial investigation, a 15-year-old driver from Cleves was traveling westbound on U.S. 50 and for an unknown reason left the roadway and struck the guardrail and Flood Gate Wall before coming to a stop.
The driver was removed from the vehicle by a witness prior to the vehicle catching fire. He was then transported to UC Medical Center with a serious injury.
U.S. 50 westbound was closed for an hour due to the crash.
Greendale Police were assisted at the scene by Greendale Life Squad, Lawrenceburg Life Squad, Lawrenceburg Police, Dearborn County Sheriff's Office, and Aurora Police.
