Lawrenceburg PD Phone Number Being Used in Scam Attempt

Law enforcement will not call residents seeking payment over warrants, contempt of court, etc.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A phone scam has been reported in Lawrenceburg.

Lawrenceburg Police say they have been receiving calls from residents stating that scammers are using the LPD phone number and claiming to be law enforcement.

The scammers are telling residents they have warrants or are in contempt of court.

“We will not do that so please do not give them any personal information about yourself, money, or gift cards,” said Lawrenceburg Police in a Facebook post.
