(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - A Lawrenceburg woman is accused of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident.

Lawrenceburg Police say Christin M. Smith, 25, was traveling along Valley Drive around 11:12 p.m. on June 13 when she crashed into a parked 2004 Buick Rendezvous.

Smith was located shortly after the crash with her two-year-old son, standing next to her 2009 black Mazda 6 that allegedly had heavy front end damage on the passenger side.

Police say Smith admitted several times that she was the driver of the vehicle. She also allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was taken to Highpoint Health for a blood test.

Smith is charged with OWI with Passenger Under 18 (level 6 felony), Operating While Intoxicated Endangerment (class a misdemeanor), and Failure to Stop After Accident (class b misdemeanor).

She is currently held in the Dearborn County Law Enforcement Center on $500 cash bond.
