Lightning Strike Causes Emergency Landing At CVG

The incident occurred early Monday morning.

(Hebron, Ky.) – A bolt of lightning caused a cargo plane to make an emergency landing Monday morning at Cincinnati – Northern Kentucky International Airport.

A DHL cargo plane made the emergency landing around 2:00 a.m., reports a FOX-19.

CVG officials say its unclear how long the plane was in the air before it was struck by lightning. It’s also unknown at this time if the plane had just departed CVG or if it was just arriving.

No injuries were reported.
