(Aurora, Ind.) – A lengthy road construction project has started up on Market Street in Aurora.
Paul H. Rohe has been contracted to complete a $6.5 million reconstruction of Market Street.
City leaders have been discussing Market Street repairs since 2007. Deteriorating roadway conditions, poor drainage during major weather events, and roadway safety have been the primary concern.
A closure of Market Street has been put in place. There will be limited access to Market Street as the project progresses.
Residents will have access from Dutch Hollow.
The project is expected to last up to two years.
