NWS Issues Wind Advisory for Much of the Tri-State

Wind gusts could reach up to 40 MPH on Wednesday.

(Wilmington, Oh.) - Meteorologists are expecting a windy day on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Wind Advisory for much of the tri-state area.

The advisory is in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Counties listed under the advisory include:

  • Dearborn, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland in Indiana
  • Carroll, Gallatin, Boone, Kenton in Kentucky
  • Hamilton County, Ohio

According to the NWS, steady winds of 10 to 20 MPH are expected with gusts up to 40 MPH.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Other concerns include downed tree limbs that could cause power outages.

The NWS also reminds motorists to use caution on the roadways, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle.
