(Florence, Ky.) – A Florence woman sustained fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 42.
Florence Police responded to the crash on Sunday at 10:16 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that was traveling westbound on U.S. 42 had collided with an oncoming eastbound vehicle.
Investigators believe Megan Ruoff’s vehicle traveled across the center line, striking the oncoming vehicle head-on. Ruoff was transported to St. Elizabeth with life-threatening injuries. She succumbed to her injuries on Monday morning.
The second driver, whose identity was not released, was transported to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
