The incident took place on Saturday night.

(Burlington, Ky.) - One person was injured in a shooting on Saturday night in Burlington.
Boone County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 3100 block of Featherstone Drive around 10:13 p.m.
The investigation revealed that the 18-year-old victim and his 16-year-old friend, who was a witness to the shooting, met the 17-year-old suspect to make a drug transaction.
A dispute ensued and the suspect fired multiple shots in the directions of the victim as he ran away from the suspect's vehicle. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the forearm and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.
The suspect was quickly identified and Boone County SWAT executed a search warrant at his home in Burlington. The suspect was taken into custody and the handgun allegedly used in the shooting was recovered.
The suspect is charged with Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Possession of a Handgun by a Minor, and Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces). He is currently lodged at the Campbell County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
The names of the individuals involved were not released.
