UPDATE: Power Restored In Rising Sun & Aurora

Nearly 3,000 customer were affected.

Update (6:00 p.m): Power has been restored, according to Duke Energy. 

 

(Rising Sun, Ind.) - A power outage has been reported in Rising Sun and Aurora. 

Duke Energy is reporting 1,507 customers without power in Rising Sun. Another 876 customers are without power in Aurora. The outage was first reported around 2:00 p.m.

According to Ohio County Communications, it could take three to four hours for power to be fully restored. 

A cause of the power outage has not been released.
