(Batesville, Ind.) – The Batesville Mayor’s Youth Council is raising funds to spruce up the basketball courts at Liberty Park.

The fundraising goal of $25,000 is nearing completion. To date, over $22,000 has been raised.

Every dollar raised will be matched 100 percent if the fundraising goal is met by the April 9 deadline.

The project overview includes improving the safety and usability of the basketball courts by resurfacing the pavement, adding a splash of color with painting and striping, and adding decorative picnic tables to match the remainder of the furnishing through the park.

The total estimated project cost is around $50,000.
