The Ripley County Health Department recommends self-quarantine and testing for anyone who attended the events.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – Individuals who attended two recent events in Ripley County may have been exposed to COVID-19.
According to the Ripley County Health Department, there is a high possibility that persons who attended Prom at Romweber in Batesville on July 11 were exposed to the virus.
Others may have been exposed to COVID-19 while attending Jac-Cen-Del’s graduation ceremony on July 11.
Attendees at either event are being asked to self-quarantine at home until July 25 and seek COVID-19 testing. Those who are experiencing symptoms should also seek testing and self-isolate from family.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
