(Ohio County, Ind.) - Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Enneking Pressure Cleaning will continue work next week on a bridge rehabilitation contract on S.R. 56 and S.R. 250 in Ohio and Switzerland Counties. The contract includes deck overlays at three locations: S.R. 56 over Laughery Creek, S.R. 56 over Arnold Creek, and S.R. 250 over Wade Creek.
The contractor is expected to remove restrictions on the S.R. 56 bridge over Laughery Creek as early as Wednesday, September 28, and move to the S.R. 56 bridge over Arnold Creek near Rising Sun. The bridge is located just east of S.R 156 and will be reduced to one lane with temporary traffic signals.
The last bridge on the contract is S.R. 250 over Wade Creek in Switzerland County. Temporary signals will also be used at that location. A start date will be announced.
The contract was awarded to Enneking in August 2022. All three locations are expected to be complete by mid-to-late October. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
