Rumpke Issues Garbage, Recycling Collection Update Amid Inclement Weather

The update is for residents of the City of Batesville.

(Batesville, Ind.) - Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, Rumpke will not provide trash or recycling pick-up for Friday, December 23. Pick-up service for the week of December 26 will be normal. Friday, December. 30 customers can put out extra trash and recycling. For updates, please visit their website https://www.rumpke.com/

We encourage everyone to stay home while we are experiencing extreme cold weather and gusty winds.  Be safe and check on family and neighbors for the next 48 hours. Bring pets inside as well.

If you are an essential worker and must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Please call the Batesville police non-emergency number at 812-934-3131 if you need to seek shelter.  If there is an emergency, dial 911.

The City of Batesville office will be closed Friday, December 23, and Monday, December 26, in observance of Christmas.
