State Route 156 will close west of N. Branch Road near the Switzerland/Ohio County line.

(Switzerland Co., Ind.) — The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a road closure in Switzerland County starting Wednesday, April 1.
State Route 156 will close for a slide correction project west of N. Branch Road near the Switzerland/Ohio County line.
This project will repair a .25-mile section of S.R. 156 utilizing drilled shafts.
Motorists should use S.R. 56 as the official detour route. Access to homes within the closure will be maintained.
The closure is expected to be last until late November, weather dependent.
