Sears Plans To Close Stores

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - Just as the busy holiday shopping season ends, word is coming that next Christmas there could be fewer stores to chose from in the tri-state.

 

Sears Holdings announced Tuesday it will be closing up to 120 Sears and K-Mart stores across the country due to lackluster sales during the holiday shopping season.

 

The company has not yet released details about which stores will be shutting their doors.

 

Sears has locations in Lawrenceburg, Florence, and Colerain. There are local K-Mart stores in Harrison and Erlanger.

 

K-Marts in Florence and Green Township were closed earlier this year.

 

Owners of the Sears location in Lawrenceburg stated they will not be among the stores ordered closed because they are locally-owned.
