(Kenton County, Ky.) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of a traffic alert in Kenton County.

Interstate 71/75 northbound is blocked at the Cut in the Hill (mile point 189.6) due to a jack-knifed commercial vehicle. The crash was reported at 3:29 a.m.

Tow trucks are on-site to remove the vehicle. Once the crash is cleared, KYTC Kenton County maintenance crews will plow and salt the area to improve safety for motorists.

Law enforcement is diverting traffic to Kyles Lane (KY 1072). Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes to avoid potential delays during the morning commute.

Motorists should avoid the area to give law enforcement a safe area to conduct their crash investigation. This information is being provided as a courtesy to motorists for finding an alternate route. KYTC will provide more information about when the crash is cleared on the KYTC District 6 social media pages.
