(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The Southeastern Indiana Musicians Association Inc. (SEIMA) is excited to announce the 2021 Hall of Fame Inductees at the upcoming Whiskey City Summer Fest event, on August 21, at the Lawrenceburg Civic Park. The organization has been involved with the event since it began as a celebration of music in the community in 2019. “The concert and Civic Park stage are the perfect setting for our annual Hall of Fame Inductee announcements,” said Brian DeBruler (SEIMA Board Member/Sol Records) who is also an organizer of the event with the City of Lawrenceburg, and Lawrenceburg Main Street. The event will be emceed by Hall of Fame Board Member and Inductee Jim Helms.

Founded in 2001, SEIMA is a locally based 501 c3 not for profit organization engaged in the promotion, celebration and growth of the musical arts in the community and home of the Southeastern Indiana Musician’s Hall of Fame historically representing exemplary musicians in five Indiana counties including Dearborn, Ripley, Franklin, Ohio and Switzerland counties. SEIMA is funded entirely by donations but was recently awarded a grant from Matinee Musicale Cincinnati with regard to its brand new “SEIMA Project.” The SEIMA Project is an arts endowment fund that will grant annual cash awards, mentorship and performance opportunities to local musicians between the ages of 14-19 to help them with their pursuit of a career in the musical arts. SEIMA also recently donated two drum sets to the Milan High School Music and Chorale departments. More information about the SEIMA Project application and audition process as well as the Southeastern Indiana Musicians Hall of Fame can be found at their website www.seimusic.org.
