The winner of the caucus will fill the remainder of Senator Chip Perfect's term following his resignation.

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indiana Republican Party will caucus this month to fill an upcoming vacancy in Senate District 43.
Party Chairwoman Anne Hathaway has called the caucus for Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dillsboro Civic Center.
The winner of the caucus will fill the remainder of Senator Chip Perfect's term, which runs through 2026. Perfect announced his resignation last Wednesday, citing that business and personal responsibilities, and family obligations are affecting his ability to fully give the Indiana Senate the focus it requires.
Senator Perfect's resignation is effective September 26.
Those interested in running in the September 12 caucus should contact the secretary of the Indiana Republican Party to ensure they file the proper forms prior to the deadline, which is 72 hours prior to the vote.
The caucus will be open to credentialed media who pre-register by Monday, September 11. A live stream will be available for members of the public who wish to watch the caucus proceedings.
