(Versailles, Ind.) - Each year, a law enforcement officer is asked to participate in the plunge as a torch bearer.
This year, Dearborn County Sheriff Shane McHenry accepted the honorary job and enjoyed every minute of it.
"Special Olympics Indiana is an amazing organization and the athletes are an inspiration to us all. I was truly honored to be able to lead the polar plunge with Special Olympics athlete Mathew Menchhofer," says Sheriff McHenry.
