(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn High School’s band is tooting their own horn.
The band participated in the Indiana State School Music Solo and Ensemble District Solo Festival on Saturday, February 2, says band director Norbert Reynolds.
Twenty-six of the band members received gold medals in Ensembles and four of them earned gold medals for Solos. They each did it while performing group 1 music, which is the most challenging music expected of high school students, Reynolds says.
Each of those students get to advance to the State Solo and Ensemble Competition on Saturday, February 23.
