SDHS Graduation will happen on Satuday, July 18.

(Aurora, Ind.) - After postponements and multiple updates from Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb, South Dearborn High School graduates will receive their diplomas this Saturday, July 18.
Due to Gov. Holcomb's announcement to keep the state at Stage 4.5 of the Back On Track plan, modifications have been made to hold the Commencement Ceremony with limited amounts of people in the gymnasium at one time.
Today, the South Dearborn Community School Corporation released the revised gradution plan.
These changes include:
- Seniors will be divided into "Flights" of 20 students. Seniors will be given their Flight numbers at graduation practice.
- All graduates will be required to report to the high school cafeteria at 9:30 a.m. regardless of their Flight.
- Graduation guests will only be allowed to enter the building when it is their graduate's Flight time. Guests must have a ticket and a signed COVID-19 Waiver to enter.
- Guests will be escorted out of the gym after each Flight in order to make room for the next group of guests.
- It is requested that guests remain in their vehicles until the Flight before their graduate's. It is anticipated that each Flight will take approximately 15 minutes.
- All graduation guests are encouraged to watch the Livestream of the ceremony at southdearbornhs.live.
Below are the estimated Flight times:
- Flight 1 - 11:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.
- Flight 2 - 11:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- Flight 3 - 11:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
- Flight 4 - 11:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Flight 5 - 12:00 p.m. - 12:15 p.m.

South Dearborn Community School Corporation recommends that all guests use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow COVID-19 safety measures, but it is not required.
