The commencement ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 2.

(Aurora, Ind.) - Because the SDHS gymnasium is unavailable due to ongoing renovations, the 2023 South Dearborn High School Commencement will be held Friday, June 2, at 8 p.m. at Backman Field on the South Dearborn High School campus.

Arrangements are underway to assure handicap parking, accessibility to the field and bleachers, and ample available restrooms.  SDHS Seniors are providing administration with the number of potential attendees as well as information about the accessibility needs of their guests to ensure that proper accommodations are in place.

Current plans include having wheelchair seating on the track, ensuring ample additional bleacher seating on the home side of the field, and orienting the proceedings to maximize proximity and visibility for attendees.

The rain date, should it be needed, is Saturday, June 3 at 11 a.m.

The backup rain date would be Sunday, June 4 at 2 p.m.

No tickets will be required for graduation attendance.
