(Aurora, Ind.) - South Dearborn Community Schools are still trying to find their next superintendent.
The school board tabled the decision on naming a replacement for retiring super Tom Book on Monday night.
Board president Darryl Cutter said he and Book had fully anticipated naming a new superintendent when organizing the agenda for the meeting.
“Things did not progress last week as expected,” said Cutter, without revealing further details.
Book is planning to retire July 1, with the new superintendent set to begin work on July 2.
