St. Nicholas Education Center Groundbreaking Set for April 29

The private school is Sunman is planning to build a new education center, followed by a fellowship center.

(Sunman, Ind.) - Join St. Nicholas Catholic Church for its long-awaited Education Center groundbreaking on Sunday, April 29th at 11:30 on the Church campus at 6459 E. St. Nicholas Drive, Sunman, Indiana.

As St. Nicholas School continues to reach new academic heights, the need for a new school building is known throughout the parish and the community. The oldest facility is 137 years old and showing its age.

“We are grateful for the sacrificial giving of donors and the pledges received that enable us to start groundbreaking for Phase 1- our Education Center,” commented Father Whittington, Pastor of St. Nicholas.

The next step for St. Nicholas is to raise the funds to build Phase 2 - a Fellowship Center which will provide much needed space for an updated and expanded kitchen and dining area, plus a new gym, stage, and multipurpose space.

Years of planning, addressing road blocks, sacrificial giving, and the determination of this local parish community is making their dream a reality!
