Sunman Fire Department Names Firefighter of the Year, Recognizes Milestone Achievements

Three firefighters were recognized for their continued dedication to the department.

(Sunman, Ind.) – Three Sunman Firefighters have been recognized for their service.

The Sunman Rural Fire Department recently held their annual Firefighter Appreciation Dinner where retired, current members, and families gathered for a meal and award ceremony.

John Miller was honored as the Firefighter of the Year.

Jeremy Smith and Dave Stutz received the 20 Year Service Award for their continued dedication to the department.

“All of our members are dedicated public servants. We would like to congratulate and thank all of our firefighters for another year of dedicated service,” reads a statement from Sunman Rural Fire Department.
