Suspicious Package Found At Hamilton Co. Justice Center

The contents of the package and the individual(s) who placed it remain under investigation.

(Hamilton County, Oh.) – A suspicious package was discovered at the Hamilton County Justice Center late Sunday night.

Sheriff Jim Neil says an unknown person threw a package over the concrete wall of the vehicle intake sally-port around 11:47 p.m.

Due to the suspicious appearance and manner of delivery, the Sheriff’s Hazardous Devices Unit was requested to examine the package. Surrounding streets were also shut down.

After evacuating the area, Sheriff’s HDU technicians X-rayed and disrupted the package.

There were no injuries and no inmates or staff were at risk during the incident.

The contents of the package, as well as the individual(s) who place it remain under investigation.
