(Hamilton County, Oh.) - You can now take a walk through Hamilton County Great Parks’ trails on your computer screen or tablet.
Great Parks and Google have teamed up to map 78 miles of its trail network. The Google Street View Trekker allows viewers to take a 360-degree tour of the trails through 16 county parks.
According to Great Parks, 40 trekkers lugged the 60 pound, GPS-enabled Google cameras around the parks to record the images.
Trails at Shawnee Lookout and Miami Whitewater Forest are included. A virtual boat trip around Miami Whitewater Forest Lake is available, too.
To take the virtual trail tour, navigate to any Hamilton County park on Google Maps and drop the Street View marker on a Street View-enabled trail.
