Traffic Controls, Road Closures Announced for Lauren's Burg Hill 5K

The annual 5K and 5-mile runs take place this Saturday in Lawrenceburg. Registration remains open.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The upcoming Lauren’s Burg Hill 5K will require street and road closures this weekend.

The annual 5K and 5-mile runs take place on Saturday, June 18. Race time starts are 7:22 and 7:32 AM

Traffic controls and public safety teams will be in place with restricted roadways. Through traffic will remain open on U.S. 50, Old Bielby Road, and State Road 48 with one lane closed for race participants.

Controlled intersections include (6:45-10:30 AM):

  • U.S. 50 and Walnut Street
  • U.S. 50 and Front Street
  • Bielby Road between U.S. 50 and Doughty Road
  • Doughty Road between Bielby Road and U.S. 50
  • U.S. 50 and Tiger Boulevard
  • U.S. 50 and Arch Street

Street closures for race routes include (6:45-8:30 AM)

  • Walnut Street at Center Street to U.S. 50
  • Tate Street between Walnut Street to Front Street
  • Todd Lane between Tate Street through Todd Creech Park to Walnut Street

A sleep-in donation option is available for those who want to support the cause but can’t attend.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Lauren's Fight for Cure fund to provide scholarships, assistance to families suffering from pediatric brain cancer and research.

Event organizers have set a $22,000 goal for the event.
