The Dearborn County Highway Department announced today the reopening of Georgetown Road.
Signs and barricades will be removed today.
Original story published Thursday, October 22 at 10:14 a.m.:
(Dearborn County, Ind.) – A portion of Georgetown Road will close for multiple weeks for a major slip repair project.
The Dearborn County Highway Department says work will occur on Georgetown Road from Fairway Drive to State Road 1 beginning Wednesday, October 28.
The slip repair project is expected to last six weeks with a completion date of December 9. The work will include repairing and resurfacing the road.
There will be no through traffic during the work.
Motorists are advised to find an alternative route through Bright and Stateline Road to access U.S. 50 and State Road 1.
