UPDATE: Kelsee Lainhart Back In The States; Recovering At DC Hospital

The 2019 East Central HS grad underwent surgery today for injuries sustained during last week's terrorist attack in Afghanistan.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Kelsee Lainhart is on a long road to recovery.

The 2019 East Central High School graduate and U.S. Marine is back in the U.S. after being injured in last Thursday’s terrorist attack in Kabul, Afghanistan.

A family-friend of the Lainhart’s provided an update on social media Monday afternoon. Lainhart is currently being treated at Walter Reed Memorial in Washington, DC.

Lainhart underwent surgery today and is recovering.

She suffered injuries in her temple and near her spinal cord after being hit by shrapnel.
