(St. Leon, Ind.) - East Central High School soccer standout Ava Leihgeber is set to continue her academic and athletic career at the collegiate level.
Leihgeber recently signed her letter of intent to play soccer at Trine University.
The East Central senior chose Trine because they offer a direct entry physician assistant program.
She also gets to continue playing the game she has loved since a young age.
Leihgeber was named East Central’s Midfield Most Valuable Player during the 2023 and 2024 seasons. As a senior, she was named Indiana Soccer Coaches Assocation Academic All-District, 1st Team All-District and All-State Honorable Mention.
In the classroom, Leihgeber holds a 4.123 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and FCCLA.
She plans to become a physician assistant after college.
