JCD's Day, Southwestern's Kramer Earn ORVC Weekly Honors

Congratulations to the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles for winning the ORVC regular season championship.

(Osgood, Ind.) – The Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles basketball team is celebrating an ORVC regular season championship, while the boys teams in the conference are still jockeying for position in the standings.

The ORVC report for January 21-26 was released on Wednesday.

Jac-Cen-Del star Mariah Day was named the ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week. Over a two game stretch last week, Day totaled 43 points, 16 assists, 15 rebounds and five steals – leading the Lady Eagles to a perfect 6-0 season in the ORVC.

Day finished the regular season as the conference’s second-leading scorer at 18.5 points per game. Only Shawe Memorial’s Kate Grote scored more points per game at 20.8.

The ORVC Boys Basketball Player of the Week went to Southwestern’s Tyler Kramer. The Rebels star averaged 28 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists in two games.

To date, Kramer leads the ORVC in scoring at 20.2 points per game.
