(Milan, Ind.) - The Milan Indians played two games on Saturday morning, Southwestern and Austin. Both were wins for the Indians and player goals were met.

During the Austin game, Kynadee Bode reached 300 strikeouts in her career. At the end of the game, Bode had 302 strikeouts, which will continue to rise as the season goes on.

This was a great milestone for this Milan sophomore, who has played a lot of softball. Bode is now the 6th in the state in strikeouts.

Bode leads the Indians in batting, on base percentages, hits, and RBI’s.

The Indians play South Ripley tonight at 5:00 p.m. at the Indians home field.

Kynadee says, "I honestly didn't realize how close I was to hitting 300 strikeouts, so when my dad came out to the mound and told me I was shocked and very excited! This accomplishment just makes all my hard work worth it! With the help from my teammates, amazing catcher, and coaches, my next goal is 600 strikeouts!"
