(Milan, Ind.) - Kayla Roell is the only high school girl that is on the Milan Indians Wrestling team.
On Saturday, she won the High School Girls Wrestling Regional and moved on to Semi-State.
The male dominated sport is rising in popularity among girls in Indiana. For Kayla, she has spent many years on the mats and has participated in many competitions with the Milan Indians Wrestling team.
She has a record of 16-7 this season. which is on the high side as it continues to grow.
Roell will compete at Semi-State later this afternoon in Muncie.
