(Brookville, Ind.) – Franklin County High School track and field star Jacob Schatzle is going D-I.
Schatzle signed his letter of intent on February 24 to continue his athletic and academic career at Purdue Fort Wayne.
The Wildcats’ star is a four-time sectional champion, winning the long jump twice, the pole vault, and 4x100. In 2021, Schatzle was the EIAC MVP and a state meet qualifier.
Schatzle hold several records going into his senior season, including the school record in the long jump (22’7”) and the sectional long jump record (22’4.75”).
At Purdue Fort Wayne, Schatzle will compete in the Horizon League.
