Versailles Native Wins Lions Pride 5K

The next Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit event is July 12 in St. Leon.

(Rushville, Ind.) - The first race of the 2025 Southeastern Indiana Racing Circuit took place Saturday in Rushville. 

Ethan Ennis, 24, of Versailles, was the winner of the Lions Pride 5K with a time of 17:57. 

Coming in second place was Milan's Ayden Potts. The 18-year-old finished in 18:24, just one second ahead of third place finisher, Jordan Hoeing, 33, of Rushville. 

Lawrenceburg native Hannah Morgan, 22, was the top female performer, placing 12th overall with a time of 21:30. 

Lily Gambrel, 16, of Lawrenceburg, was second in the female division (19th overall), finishing in 23:11. Megan Cole, 24, of Versailles, placed 20th overall with a time of 23:33. 

The 2025 SIRC will break for the Fourth of July weekend and will resume on Saturday, July 12 with the Trojan Trot 5K in St. Leon. 

Each of the six SIRC races supports cross country programs at local schools.
