Our Hero Tree is an opportunity for the community to recognize the service of those who have served our nation in times of peace and conflict.

The Aurora Public Library District will display trees at both Aurora and Dillsboro featuring handmade ornaments created by community members to honor a service member. The trees will be unveiled on Monday, November 1st.
To participate in the Our Heroes’ Tree initiative, simply create a handmade ornament, or pick up a "Take and Make" ornament kit from the library, honoring the service member in your family or community from past and present wars, conflicts or peacetime operations. Ornaments are being accepted at either the Aurora or Dillsboro Public Library.
