Charlotte Brontë- The Stifled Writer

As Banned Book Week approaches, did you know that Charlotte Brontë's book Jane Eyre has been scrutinized for some of its content- with some universities slapping it with a warning? Visit with Charlotte in 1847, portrayed by Laura Keyes, as she reflects on her emotionally-charged experiences as both student and teacher at various boarding schools. Share with her the joy of seeing her deeply personal novel, Jane Eyre, in published form. Keyes graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in English Literature, and from UW-Madison with a Master’s Degree in Library Studies.
