Church at the Park

Darin Mirante, Senior Pastor at First Church, says: "If you or your kids have ever described church as being boring, this is your chance to catch a glimpse of something different. We are leaving the building and bringing church to the community for a fun-filled experience for the whole family. Come out to Church at the Park!" There will be food trucks available following the service. Childcare will be available for children from birth to 2 years of age. There will also be activities for the kids before the service and opportunities for them to engage and participate throughout the service! Invite your family, friends and neighbors!

About First Church: First Church is celebrating our Fastest Growing Church in Kentucky ranking by Outreach Magazine. The First Church of Christ began 54 years ago in the basement of a Florence firehouse. Fourteen people attended First Church's initial service led by her first pastor, Wally Randel. From those small beginnings God was preparing to do big things! The church purchased five acres on US 42, and volunteers from the congregation built the first worship center in 1967. In 1972, LD Campbell began his 38 year ministry as the Senior Pastor. The church continued its rapid growth and relocated to the Burlington Campus in 1995. In 2009 Greg Marksberry was called to serve as the next Senior Pastor following LD's retirement. Over the next several years First Church continued to expand and became a multi-site church with the launch of the Union Campus in October 2012. Union recently celebrated its 5 year anniversary and over 700 people call the Union campus their home. In 2016 Darin Mirante became the new Lead Pastor. Our past is bright but we believe that God has a brighter future planned for the FAMILY of First Church, leading people to Know, Worship and Serve Jesus Christ.
