Country Music Hall Of Fame Inductees Announced

The Class of 2018 will be the 58th group of country music artists to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are announcing the newest inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The couple revealed the names during a press conference yesterday morning in Nashville.

Ricky Skaggs was honored in the Modern Era category and Dottie West in the Veteran Era category.

"When I came to Nashville in 1980, I came to play music and hopefully get a record deal. All of that happened, but I never dreamed that I'd ever be a member of this hallowed hall," Skaggs said. "I'm humbled and very grateful to soon be listed among my many heroes in this great Country Music Hall of Fame."

The actual induction ceremony will happen later this year.
