Air Care Called to ATV Accident Near Sunman

The accident took place Saturday night along State Road 101.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – An investigation is ongoing following an ATV crash in Ripley County.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash Saturday night on State Road 101 near Sunman.

Deputies say Christian Hirsch, 20, of Cincinnati, crashed into a field and was ejected from the ATV near Krueger Maddux Greenhouse.

Hirsch was treated at the scene and was later airlifted to UC Medical Center for further treatment to unknown injuries.

The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the driver for OWI.

Sunman Fire, Ripley County Emergency Medical Services and Indiana State Police assisted at the scene.
