Burlington Man Charged With Rape

(Hebron, Ky.) – A Burlington man is being accused of molesting a 12-year-old girl whom he was babysitting.

 

Boone County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Hardin Bays, 44, on a single charge of Rape 1st degree and two counts of Sodomy 1st degree.

 

Bays allegedly attacked the girl whose mother had asked him to babysit Sunday.

 

The assault occurred at about 8:00 a.m. The girl fled from Bays and went to a neighbor’s home at which time police were called.

 

Bays was taken into custody just before midnight Sunday. He is held in the Boone County Detention Center on $200,000 bond.
