If you live in downtown Lawrenceburg, you may be eligible to have a tree planted in front of your home for free.
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - The City of Lawrenceburg is happy to announce a new downtown beautification program to plant trees in front of downtown residential properties. This initiative was originally intended to replace the trees that had to be removed due to the Ash Borer insect damage, but has been expanded to include anyone with a home in downtown Lawrenceburg. To apply, you must be the owner of the property, there must appropriate space adjacent to the sidewalk for installation, and there must be no utilities or easements at the site. The tree will be installed at no cost to you. You will be required to execute any necessary agreements and to permit access and planting.
Please fill out the application below and submit it to Lawrenceburg City Hall at the Lawrenceburg Municipal Utilities window. Your application must be received no later than August 6th, 2018 at Noon. There will be a town hall meeting held on August 6th, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in Lawrenceburg City Hall Council Chambers to provide further details to all those who have applied.
The City will review your application to determine whether planting is possible. If it is, we will install the tree at your home. Thank you, and we look forward to continuing to beautify downtown Lawrenceburg!
