City Pools Ready To Open For Summer

Local public pools are a great way to keep cool without spending a ton of money.

(Greendale, Ind.) - Warm weather and Memorial Day weekend means that public pools across Eagle Country are about to open for the summer.

Pools in Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Rising Sun, and Batesville are due to open Saturday, May 26. In most cases, they will be open through Labor Day.

Lawrenceburg city residents can get into the public Pat O'Neill Memorial Pool for free once again this year be showing proof of residency. Daily admission for non-residents is $5 per person. More information at https://www.lawrenceburg-in.com/155/Pat-ONeill-Memorial-Pool.

In Greendale, the daily admittance to the pool is $5 for Greendale and Lawrenceburg residents, but $8 for out-of-town or out-of-state visitors. The pool is free the final hour it is open each day, 6:00-7:00 p.m. Hours and information are available at http://www.cityofgreendale.net/greendale-pool.

The Memorial Pool in Batesville welcomes swimmers for $5 per adult, $4 per child under 17, and for free is you are younger than 2 or 65 or older. The Rising Sun City Pool allows visitors 3 and under or 55 and older in for free. Daily adult admission is $4 and children ages 4 to 17 get in for $3. Learn more at http://www.cityofrisingsun.com/Departments/CommunityPool.aspx.

The Hidden Valley Lake Pool is only open to POA members with a proper HVL ID. It is open daily from noon until 8:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted. There are late night family swims scheduled. See more at https://hiddenvalleylakeindiana.com/community/recreation/pool/.
