Cookout, Live Music, Carnival Rides, Giveaways Highlight Upcoming Lawrenceburg Community Picnic

Join in on the fun on Saturday, April 27 at Civic Park.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The City of Lawrenceburg will host their annual Community Picnic on Saturday, April 27.

The free event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lawrenceburg Civic Park.

Opening ceremony with Mayor Kelly Mollaun will take place at noon, followed by PG Gentrup and S.E. Indiana Honor Guard with Vietnam Veterans Chapter 71 sharing a military salute, and National Anthem by Logan Gilb.

Grill stations and food service lines will be hosted by City of Lawrenceburg Police, Fire, EMS, and city staff.

Other festivities include music by My Brother’s Keeper, cornhole, carnival rides, three raffle giveaways, and a grand prize giveaway (must be present to win raffle prizes and must be a Lawrenceburg resident to win grand prize).

Road closures associated with the Community Picnic are listed below. 

From Friday, April 26th at 5 p.m. – to Saturday, April 27th at 7 p.m.

The following roads & parking lot will be closed:

·       E. High St. between Walnut St. to the alley between Short St. & Elm St.

·       Short St. between New St. to William St.

·       Mural parking lot on High St. next to Strong’s Pizza.

 Directions to Ivy Tech parking garage entrances:

·       High St. to Walnut St.

·       US 50 to Walnut St.

·       US 50 to Walnut St., left on Center St. right on Elm St.

·       US 50 to Arch St., right at Center St. left on Elm St.

·       US 50 to Hollywood Blvd. which turns into Center St. left on Elm St.
