(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) - In addition to the many positive changes the City has been making to further assist community members, the Lawrenceburg City Council voted to allow the Community Center to be used for COVID-19 testing.
Testing will be available at the Community Center starting Wednesday, May 13, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
"Dearborn County was chosen based on existing access to testing through local hospitals, clinics and other locations, counties with low testing numbers, and communities with underserved, at-risk, or minority populations. The state tried to ensure they provided evenly distributed testing access within neighboring counties," says the Dearborn County Health Department.
To be eligible for testing, you must be an Indiana resident that is symptomatic or in close contact of a COVID-19 positive patient or must work or be in close contact with at risk population.
Testing will be available free of charge; however, insurance information will be collected.
The testing site is expected to operate month by month based on community needs.
Testing will by appointment only by calling (888) 634-1116 or online at https://lhi.care/covidtesting.
