By Travis Thayer (St. Leon, Ind.) – The East Central High School boys basketball schedule is being revised due to the success of the school’s football team. The Trojan football team defeated Evansville Harrison 42-28 in the Regional Championship last Friday, advancing to the Semi-State Championships, which will be played on Friday, November 20. Due to the conflict with the football schedule, the boys basketball scrimmage at Madison scheduled for Friday, November 20 will now be played on Saturday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. East Central’s first regular season game with Jennings County has been postponed on Saturday, November 28 and moved to Tuesday, December 22. The boys basketball game with Lawrenceburg has also been pushed back from Wednesday, February 3 to Thursday, February 4 due to a conflict with the girls IHSAA Sectional Tournament. The East Central football team will take on Indianapolis Roncalli in one half of the Semi-State Championships at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Trojan Field. The winner will take on either South Bend St. Joseph or Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger in the State Championship game on Saturday, November 28 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
